In Season 6, Episode 21 Ryan wondered what was his purpose in life. This episode definitely showed the growth of Ryan. So while the desire for less government involvement is a conservative idea, Ryan sticks true to his innate desire to help people. Renovate that space into a living space for Mandy and Kyle! Ryan agrees to it, and he won’t charge the market rate. Ryan cannot afford to renovate the top floor into more retail space, but Mike has an idea. While all of those come from a capitalist mindset, those desires are not based in greed or selfishness. Ryan says to appease the customers, hire more employees, better the economics of the community. They can at least understand some of where these characters are coming from. With Kyle and Mandy’s story, this is the sort of thing that many different viewers can relate to - trying to start a family is not something that is altogether new to many viewers out there. In addition to trying to make people laugh, we do believe that one of the goals for Last Man Standing this season is going to be trying to figure out some ways in which to bring viewers together from all walks of life. “We find out that Kyle and Mandy have been trying to get pregnant… for a little while and things aren’t going well.”
